Job Overview:

We are looking for reliable and safety-conscious Bus Drivers to operate our tour buses and transport passengers on guided tours throughout Cork City, West Cork and Kerry. As a Bus Driver at Cork City Tours, you will play a crucial role in creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for our customers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate tour buses in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service by welcoming passengers, answering questions, and providing information about Cork City’s attractions and history.
• Take payment and process tickets upon boarding.
• Ensure the safety of passengers by following safety protocols, including maintaining a clean and orderly bus.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour at all times.
• Follow the tour schedule and adhere to designated stops and routes.
• Keep accurate records of daily activities, including passenger counts, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking the bus, including those with special needs.
• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and report any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Collaborate with the tour guide (where available) to provide a seamless and enjoyable tour experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s Licence (Category D).
• Drivers CPC.
• Drivers Digital Tacho Card.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a bus driver in a similar role is preferred.
• Excellent driving record.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable personality.
• Knowledge of Cork City’s history, landmarks, and attractions is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
