Position: Transport Manager
Location: Cork City, Ireland
Cronins Coaches, one of Ireland’s leading transport providers, is seeking a highly organised and experienced Transport Manager to oversee fleet compliance, driver management, and operational coordination. This is a hands-on role requiring strong attention to detail, knowledge of transport legislation, and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet & Vehicle Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with RSA, Department of Transport and NTA regulations.
- Manage road tax, CVRT, PSV, tachograph calibrations, and vehicle licensing renewals.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, repairs, and compliance documentation (digital & hard copies).
- Oversee fuel cards, toll tags, ULEZ/LEZ registrations, and onboard equipment.
- Monitor fleet performance including fuel usage, mileages, and telematics data.
- Liaise with garages, maintenance staff, and external dealers for servicing and inspections.
Driver Compliance & Management
- Ensure all drivers hold valid CPC cards and maintain compliance with EU driver hours.
- Manage digital tachograph downloads, infringement analysis, and driver debriefings.
- Handle accident/incident investigations, insurance reporting, and driver behaviour monitoring.
- Maintain driver files, issue updated manuals and policies, and oversee training & inductions.
- Monitor driver performance, walkaround checks, and compliance with safety standards.
Operations & Administration
- Manage insurance renewals, fleet additions/removals, and claims.
- Coordinate tenders and contracts for Irish Rail, Bus Éireann, CIE Tours, and cruise ship dispatch operations.
- Schedule city tour services, school transport, and ad hoc service requirements.
- Oversee new coach arrivals, registrations, PDI, and compliance setup.
- Support ISO/NSAI environmental certifications and audits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a transport management or fleet compliance role.
- Strong knowledge of RSA, NTA, and Department of Transport regulations.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and IT skills (fleet/driver management systems).
- Ability to manage compliance deadlines and lead a team effectively.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Good people management & presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to multitask.
- Work under tight deadlines to communicate with the client;
- CPC in transport management, International Transport Licence
- Excellent PC Skills: MS Office, Excel;
- Not essential, but preferably hold a D drivers licence

Pay: €48,000.00-€58,000.00 per year

Coach Drivers
Cronin’s Coaches are seeking professional and experienced Coach Drivers to join the team. The ideal candidate should possess previous driving experience, excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, outstanding customer service abilities, and a passion for providing a comfortable and enjoyable travel experience for our North American passengers.
Responsibilities:
• Safely operate and drive coaches to transport passengers to their destinations according to schedule.
• Ensure the safety of passengers, following all transport laws, regulations, and company policies
.• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any issues or concerns.
• Assist passengers with boarding, disembarking, and loading/unloading luggage as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and needs in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain a clean and presentable coach interior/exterior, ensuring passenger comfort throughout the journey.
